Horne Smelter and the CCR Refinery are economically linked, as all of the smelter\u2019s production becomes refinery production inputs. This integration allows the facilities to compete with major global players. The smelter contributes significantly to the economic stability of the Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue region, accounting for 4.3% of the GDP and 1.8% of jobs. With its wide network of suppliers, it also has significant provincial and Canadian-wide impacts.
