The study conducted by Aviseo was unveiled at the Rencontre des Entrepreneurs Francophones 2024 in Marrakech. The purpose of the study is to present the economic and demographic outlook for the French-speaking world. It then examines Quebec’s positioning within the economic Francophonie before focusing on economic cooperation between Morocco and Quebec.

Close-up on Quebec-Morocco economic cooperation:
- Over the past 20 years, Moroccan imports have grown by an average of 5.6% per year, with a 161% jump between 2013 and 2015 due to imports of fruit, aircraft parts and textiles. Quebec exports mainly mechanical appliances, aircraft parts and paper rolls.
- In its Industrial Acceleration Plan (PAI), Morocco is targeting the automotive, aerospace and renewable energy sectors, three areas in which Québec has expertise.
- Canada and Morocco are currently negotiating a free trade agreement between the two countries.
